wedding and portrait photographer since 2008
A note from Aaron:
Wedding Photography has been my primary focus since 2008. I started in the industry doing wedding videography two years earlier, that’s what lead me to a studio in the Cayman Islands where I quickly changed gears towards photography. I photographed weddings in the Caribbean from 2008 - 2014 and the experience of coordinating with couples traveling from overseas and photographing them in a breath taking environment is what really sparked my love for photographing people. Since moving to Minnesota in 2014 I’ve enjoyed exploring all the great wedding venues, places of worship and parks the greater Twin Cites has to offer, providing an equally extraordinary backdrop for my wedding photography.
My shooting style is stealthy, I try my best to go unnoticed, therefore my favorite feedback from brides/grooms is when they say they hardly noticed I was there or they didn’t realize I photographed something. Of course I speak up when I need to in order to stay on schedule and get everyone relaxed and laughing during group photos. I always approach weddings looking for the candid moments that happen as well as put an importance on some of the traditional photos I know that couples still want.
My favorite parts of weddings are definitely the intimate moments shared between the bride and groom like their first look, walking up the isle after the ceremony and the first dance. These photos tend to have the most feeling and raw emotion, which I love.
I’m a photographer because I love photography and I love people, it just makes sense! I love being a part of peoples most exciting day, I’m honored to be the one chosen to capture their wedding. I feel that I do an amazing job documenting the day as it unfolds and I have the opportunity to put my creativity and passion for photography as an art form to work.
